Perfect Slopes, Sustainable Processes: KitzSki Relies on Prinoth Connect

KitzSki is digitalizing key processes in its ski operations by implementing Prinoth Connect. This digital service integrates snow measurement and fleet management, providing precise operational data to enhance efficiency, transparency, and sustainability.

“As one of Europe’s leading ski resorts, we carry responsibility—both economically and environmentally,”

explains Anton Bodner, CEO of KitzSki.

“With Prinoth Connect, we can allocate resources more effectively, reduce costs, and further improve the quality of our slopes at the same time.”

A core component of Prinoth Connect is snow measurement. It provides an accurate overview of existing snow volumes and supports demand-based planning in daily operations.

“For our day-to-day operations, snow measurement is a real game changer,”

says Stefan Hetzenauer, Operations Manager at Hahnenkamm.

“Knowing the exact snow volume across every section of the slopes is crucial. It saves time, fuel, and snowmaking costs. Combined with fleet management, we always have a complete overview of our entire vehicle fleet.”

KitzSki relies on the Leica snow measurement system as well as the AlpinePro software for precise planning of snowmaking areas. Stefan Seeber, Deputy Technical Director, also confirms the positive experience:

“Based on our experience so far, the snow measurement system is extremely reliable and accurate. The AlpinePro software offers countless possibilities, so we feel well equipped for the ongoing development of our slope management.”

In addition to snow management, fleet management plays a central role. Consumption data, operating hours, and vehicle conditions across the entire fleet are available almost in real time. Additional safety features further enhance the protection of both personnel and machines.

Hans Peter Schwaiger, Head of Slopes at KitzSki, emphasizes:

“Features such as the vehicle immobilizer or visual and acoustic warnings when the brake is still engaged are extremely helpful. They increase staff safety and protect the vehicles from damage.”

The maintenance overview also supports daily operations:

“The maintenance overview is a great support. You immediately notice that this is not a generic tool, but a solution specifically developed for the requirements of workshops in ski resorts.”

With Prinoth Connect, KitzSki is laying the foundation for efficient, safe, and sustainable ski operations.
