LAAX is one of the world’s most renowned freestyle destinations and home to the LAAX Open. The demands on its snowpark are equally high: kickers, transitions and landings need to be shaped with precision – even when weather, snow conditions or tasks change at short notice.

The team relies, among other solutions, on the Bison X for professional snowpark construction and digital solutions from Prinoth Snowpark Services. But even the best technology has to prove itself in day-to-day operations.

That is exactly where one challenge became clear: switching between the Pipe Monster and the blade used to take around 45 minutes. Time when the machine was unavailable for actual park work – and time the team could not afford to lose when a quick response was needed.

From 45 minutes to 1–2 minutes

The challenge was clear: How could the attachment change be made significantly faster, directly on the mountain?

The answer came from close collaboration between the LAAX team and Prinoth. Together, they developed a hydraulic quick-change system that allows operators to switch from the Pipe Monster to the blade in just one to two minutes.

The impact is immediate: less downtime, more flexibility. Operators can move between different tasks with virtually no interruption and respond faster to changing demands in the park. Instead of losing time on attachment changes, they can focus on what really matters: the quality of the snowpark.
