Husky Cabin Cats Join Search and Rescue
Three Prinoth Husky Snow Groomers Join Oregon Search and Rescue Teams
When winter storms roll in, the winds kick up, and roads disappear beneath snowdrifts, Oregon’s search and rescue teams are the first to answer the call. Their work demands equipment as tough and dependable as they are — machines that can push through whiteouts, ice, and rugged mountain terrain to reach those in need.
Winter search and rescue missions just got easier and safer for three counties in Oregon. The Hood River County Sheriff’s Office, Umatilla County Sheriff’s Office, and Klamath County Sheriff’s Office each received a new Prinoth Husky outfitted with a transport cabin.
These versatile, all-season machines are built to perform in the toughest winter conditions. Each Husky is equipped with all-terrain tracks engineered for snow, mud, and rocky ground, and painted bright orange for maximum visibility in poor weather. With a powerful front blade for clearing deep snow and climate-controlled transport cabins, the groomers can safely carry rescue personnel, equipment, and evacuees through terrain where standard vehicles can’t operate.
From mountain passes to remote rural regions, these new Husky groomers will play a vital role in life-saving missions during severe storms and winter emergencies. Their reliability, agility, and comfort make them an essential asset for keeping Oregon communities safe when conditions are at their worst.
Prinoth is proud to support the dedicated search and rescue teams who brave the elements to save lives – because when every minute matters, performance and dependability make all the difference.
