Bison X Building the Inaugural Rockstar Energy Open at Breckenridge
The first-ever Rockstar Energy Open at Breckenridge set out to create something entirely new. Delivering on that vision required the right location, athletes, builders and machines.
Prinoth supplied a Bison X and Bison X Winch, which operators from The Stomping Grounds Projects relied on to push bulk, build custom features, and dial in the runs for the athletes. As Charles Beckinsale, Owner of The Stomping Grounds Projects said, “We couldn’t have done it without Prinoth. The Bison X helped us bring the vision to life. Building this event was rad.”
Purpose-Built for Progressive Features
This was not a typical competition park build. The Rockstar Energy Open demanded precise shaping, consistent results, and the ability to execute complex features under tight timelines. The Bison X delivered the power needed to push early season, manmade snow and the precision to shape complex features with knife-edge accuracy. “I have the right machine, which makes this build fun. It’s great knowing that we’re building something unique that the riders are stoked on,” Brandon Dodds, operator for The Stomping Grounds Projects and Sugar Bowl Parks.
Built by Builders, Proven on Snow
The collaboration between Prinoth and The Stomping Grounds Project reflects a shared commitment to innovation driven by the world’s best operators. Events like the Rockstar Energy Open show what’s possible when experienced operators pair progressive design with purpose-built equipment.
With the Bison X at the center of the build, the inaugural Rockstar Energy Open raised the bar and set a new standard for what modern freestyle events can be. Beckinsale summed it up perfectly, “We can’t wait to keep pushing the sport forward with interesting builds using the best tools in the industry.”
